The benefits of a Sun Mill™ solar pump

Sun Mill solar pumps are better than other remote-application pumping systems for a variety of reasons.

Significantly reduced ongoing costs

Once a solar pump is installed, your ongoing costs drop dramatically. Robust systems, such as the Sun Mill family of products, are designed to operate in the full glare of the harsh Australian weather day after day, year after year. Solar pumps do wear - as will any device with moving parts. Despite this, our Sun Mill range is designed to both reduce the frequency at which maintenance is necessary and to simplify this maintenance process, so that ordinary people with ordinary tools can keep the pump operating smoothly well into the future.

Unattended operation

As long as your solar pump delivers to a reservoir, you can leave it alone most of the time. Optional immersion or float switches sense if the water source has run dry or the tank is full, automatically switching off the solar controller in either case. Otherwise, as long as some sunlight is available, the pump will deliver water quietly, reliably and without consuming any fuel.

Pollution free

A solar pump produces no exhaust. No carbon dioxide, no sulphur dioxide, no nitrous oxides or any of the other compounds emitted by petrol and diesel systems.
