Sun Mill products
Solar pumps use the power in sunshine to pump water by combining solar panels with a reliable submersible or piston electric pump. Perfect for rural locations or areas without access to mains power, solar pumps work reliably, day after day, with minimal maintenance.
This chart provides a comparison between the products in the Sun Mill family, from the low-volume Aqua to the high volume, high head Quicksilver model. Jetstream models are not shown on this chart, as their capability is virtually unlimited. Individual charts for each product provide a more fine-grained view of the capability of each pump.
Flow rates are quoted based on 6 full sun hours per day. Actual output will vary depending on weather conditions, the season and your location.

The Sun Mill Rapid is capable of covering a very broad range of pumping conditions. All Rapid pumps are submersible, although optional float assemblies can be attached for surface water sources. From the low flow, low head '200' to the high flow, high head '1200', a the Rapid is our most customisable pump. It can be configured for both centrifugal (for high flow under low head conditions) or helical rotor (for high head conditions) wet ends, providing excellent optimisation for your particular requirements. The Jetstream is the product for the most demanding pumping applications. Jetstream systems are custom-designed for specific scenarios. Each TSP6000 controller is capable of drawing up to 6000W of solar power, and systems can be strung together to provide water at any head and at any flow rate. A Jetstream system utilising 3000W of solar power was recently installed by Solco's projects division at Laclo, East Timor and is currently delivering around 45,000 litres per day against a 40m head.
